Eventscapade: Unleashed 4

Honestly, I'm just really speechless with how this event turned out so I'll just thank a bunch of people here:

Thank you to Weedoo Manila and 15 strong for letting me capture the most precious moments during your event.

To Kaye and Pat for being the most assiduous and patient people ever.

To Kel, Mohit, Aaron, and Chef Ed for always bullying me and allowing me to bully you in return.

To Jess for being the best roomie and model ever. LMPK ka pa rin.

To Cmart for agreeing to let me be your official Photographer.

To Raffy and JM for helping me out during the event. Mas pro talaga kayo sakin.

To The DJs for entertaining not just the crowd but also me. You guys are the reason why the Unleashed Ravers call me "Yung Babaeng Photographer na laging sumawayaw sa stage at kung saan man"

Lastly, To Sr Brod Marc Marasigan. You are the reason why I was able to live my dream. When you first got me to photograph you, I didn't expect that so many people would appreciate my art. My career has gone up since then. Thank you so much. Thank you to Cheena as well for teaching me how to be humble. Yes. Big thing yun sakin. HAHAHA.

Okay guys, here you go. Unleashed 4. :)

Recalculating: Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB)

My dad recently contacted me if I had a few days to spare from work for work (lol). The Chairman of the Freeport of Bataan, who happens to be my godfather by baptism, Atty. Deo Custodio (Upsilon Sigma Phi batch 91) contacted Pops if we could make an AVP for them. Pops needed me to shoot some photos.

It's funny how, back then, Pops wan't at all too keen about my photography being my profession. As an award winning indie film director, he wanted me to either be an a.) Actress or b.) a director as well (to follow his footsteps). It took him 6 years to finally accept that this was what I wanted to do. I'm really glad that he's more than happy with it. "Ipagpatuloy mo yan para soon enough ikaw na DOP (Director of Photography) ko". (Keep pursuing that so that someday you'll be my DOP)

Hay nako, Pops.

Anyway. At first, I thought of it as just work. Take photos here. Take Photos there. Edit. Send. Typical landscape shots of the area. When I got to Mariveles, where the Freeport was,  I was just so amazed at how beautifully serene the whole area was. All of the locations that they sent us were PERFECT places for shoots.

Note: I used a Canon 60D here with only 2 lenses. A Sigma 10-20mm f/2.8 and a canon 50mm f/1.4

This is the Lighthouse by the bay in Mariveles. This place overlooks the Bataan Coal Powerplant (bottom left of the photo). I woke up at 4 am just to take this damn photo. And I shit you not, it was definitly worth it. This photo doesn't do the sunruse any justice, actually. I only did minor edits with this one.

How I Got Caught Up in This Shit World of Photography

You guys may have noticed the layout change (Specifically the banner and the background). I used my original watermark, added a triangle thing on it for no purpose whatsoever, and voila. My blog looks like a raver's blog. Yikes. D:

Its actually quite interesting where this photo came from. The background is actually the base of Aracama's DJ booth.

This is the original photo. See? Interestingggg.

Ah and get this. The background is from the same picture as well.

Trippyyyyyyy

The fusion of lights and sounds is what makes my job so intoxicatingly addictive. Normally, I would be so critical with photos, judging every aspect of it from here to there. There is a lot of crab mentality in Photography. The path has always been difficult for me because of it. I went through a lot of shit to get where I am today.

22 Years YOUNG.

I celebrated 22 years of adventure this 12th of November, 2014. On the 15th, I decided to throw a birthday party at my house. The whole balcony was rigged up. From the bar, to the tent, the tables and chairs, oh and yes, the beer pong tables. More than 30 people came and got drunk with me. Let's just say that it was one hell of a night.

My UP ladies.

And how can we ever forget the Thursday crew? It's never really a party for me if these two aren't around.

By the way, that's my younger sister bartending. Teach em young, I say. HEHE

USF-SDP Batch 2012!

My babygirl, Cara, and I

The TUS crew!

My batchmates and I (plus Alex and Jag)

Again. Teach 'Em Young.

I'd love to tell you the shit that went down that night, but I can't. No joke, it was insane.

Til my next post!

Eventscapade: VIVANT 2014

Thank you UP Travel Society for inviting me as one of your photographers for VIVANT.

Y'all remember Sean right? Well he and his friend, Jo, played that night (DJ Swerdyboy x DJ Jo). I'm so proud of him!!!

The duo plus Jazz and Ryan

The decor that night.

Kei, the gorgeous lady of UPTS.

MY BABY IDA. She was a member of the UP pep squad so you can just imagine how insanely fit this woman is.

This post is a bit short because I'm quite busy with my photos for Unleashed 3 (which will be the post after this)
