Sundate

Alaric and I on our usual Sundates. Before we went to Robinsons Magnolia, I came from Fight Factory and had a beating from my trainer. My whole body was friggin sore so I asked him if we could have Ice Cream at Robinsons Magnolia.

Before the mall was built, it used to be a plant for Magnolia (the ice cream). They used to have this restaurant called Magnolia Ice Creamery and it was the best ice cream place ever. When they built the mall, they decided to keep the ice cream hub. HOORAY ROBINSONS.

I forgot to take a picture of our ice cream. But looking back, I don't think I would have been able to anyway. Once our orders came, we put down everything and started eating like crazy.

Poor Alaric's jaw was swollen. He looked like a kid enjoying his ice cream.

We decided to watch "Its a Good day to Die Hard" that day. After realizing that we had 30 minutes to spare, we decided to have lunch at Ramen Bar. Yes, 30 minutes. Ramen Bar. Don't Judge.

Look at how long my hair has grown! My bangs don't qualify as bangs anymore. And for some odd reason  my hair is parted in the middle. Yuck.

Instagram Photodump and My iPad Apps

SO HERE, I WILL BE TALKING ABOUT HOW I EDIT MY PHOTOS USING MY IPAD. HIHI. Since all of you were asking *anyenyenye* It's actually pretty simple and quite effortless. I won't spill certain apps that I use cuz thats my secret *ahihihi* but here's some apps that I use.

Note: I dont use the effects on instagram anymore.

Note 2: And yes basically this is just a stupid photodump. I'll do the pictures first before the apps.

I AM QUEEN OF 2FUSE MWAHAHA. Took me quite a while to get this score. I've actually beaten it already. 128... something. I'm aiming for 130+. I actuallly used the instagram effect on this one only because I was too lazy to edit the photo (not that it needs any editing). I also used Overgram for it.

PS: I don't use overgram anymore. Instead, I bought OVER HD, Which costs about $1.99.

Boogie and I in this really really old photo that I haven't posted ever til now. You can tell that its old due to the fact that my hair was light mahogany brown pa. I dyed it black pre new year because I got sick of the light haired craze. And Black hair actually looks better on me. I've never had any black hair. My hair is naturally light brown (the dyes that I use are 2-5 shades lighter than my normal hair, thats why its kinda blonde-ish.

I used adobe photoshop (the app) to edit this (lowered saturation and heightened brightness) and picstitch for the framing (to make the WHOLE photo fit. Then I think I used an instagram effect here. Not sure which one.

My entry for the doppelganger week. Since everybody keeps telling me that I look like Grace Lee... TADAH. ME AND GRACE LEE.

This was when I beat Alaric during our 2FUSE Marathon. I used OVER HD for the words. For the editing... secreeeet. I used ny sony NEX 5 to take the photos here (refer to previous post HERE) and used picstitch for the framing.

Refer to the link above for the post related to this photo as well. I used my secret app and Overgram for this. Yep, just that.

ISABEL AND DAVE. This was when we went to Dugout after the Dinig Sana Kita screening in DLS-CSB SDA Building. Can I just say that the SDA Building looked more like a NASA dept rather than a college? We were literally awestruck with the whole place.

UP kasi poor eh. Kidding. I love UP. AND FYI DILIMAN IS GETTING AN UPGRADE AH.

For this photo, I used picstitch to make the circle framing. They have other shapes like triangles, clouds, hears, broken hearts, etc. This was when I visited Balanga for the Balanga U-Town Film screening for students.

ANYWAY. HERE ARE ALL MY APPPPSSS.

Ps. If you click the title of the app, you'll be redirected to iTunes to that app's page.
You're welcome.

Here's the first page of my iPad. Basically it consists of the mandatory apps that you recieve when you get the iPad.

Female M******** Calendar is for those "times of the month". It's actually pretty helpful. Personally, It's quite accurate!

I won't show you my photography folder for personal reasons (actually I just don't want you knowing my editing apps. Hihi. Sorry).

The Social Network folder contains Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, 9GAG, Blogger, Foursquare, and Skype. I actually used the blogger app to start this blog entry. Pretty neat, huh? :)

I also use Sketchbook pro and Manga Rock 2. I bought the pro but there is a free version to it (HERE). Manga Rock 2 is free but I paid a little extra just so that I could download more mangas. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY IT. You can read ALL of the mangas in the app. I only paid a little extra because my internet is slow and downloading the manga before reading means that I won't have any lag time when downloading.

I use Bamboo Paper instead of the notes app. I prefer writing over typing. Aaaand I have a bamboo pen so I wanted to match that with the electronic notebook. HAHA.

For the Top Secret folder, these contain my EXTRA SUPER PERSONAL STUFF. Each app has its own passcode lock. So even if your friends know your iPad's passcode lock, you can have extra security within the app.

My Planner is, well, self explanatory. And My Journal is pretty much my personal Diary. I can't seem to find them on the iTunes page. These are really well hidden underrated apps. It took me a while before I found the perfect planner app and the perfect personal Diary app. If you look well enough, I guess you'll find it.

My Fitness Pal is basically a calorie counter. Even though I'm super matakaw, you'd be surprised that I only ingest  2100 calories a day. HAH. HAH. MAGIC OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES. I can eat so much but still be within my limit. *feeling healthy*

Next is my Travel Folder. I won't paste the iTunes link anymore because I'll just be skipping this part already, kbye.

Skipping this one too...

And yes this one too.... *Leg workout.. DON'T JUDGE*

AHA. Games folder PART ONE.

My favorite app in this folder is definitely the Bingo app. ITS ADDICTING. That and Game of Nerds. Pops and I have this competition in Game of Nerds: Pataasan ng score. SO FAR I WIN. 410 POINTS MWAHAHA.

My sisters and I love the Tap the Frog apps. There's Tap the Frog Doodle and Tap the Frog (originally called Tap the Frog 2).

My mom uses the Bejeweled Blitz app and the Scrabble app (Free Version HERE). Actually, she's the only on who uses those games. HAHAHA.

Fantasy Adventure is a pretty cool free app. It's an RPG but it isn't those typical turn based ones so its kinda interesting. And the story is pretty cool too.

To-Fu 2 , My Diamonds, and Fire Hose Frenzy are actually getting too boring so I might just delete those.

INFECTONATOR IS PROBABLY MY FAVORITE ZOMBIE APP EVER. YOU HAVE TO INSTALL THAT APP. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, I SWEAR.

Drunk Chef. Okay I discovered this app only because I was looking for Cooking Mama (which I bought by the way). ITS A PRETTY HILARIOUS APP. Its gameplay is similar to Fruit Ninja. But when you see the shotglass, you throw it to the direction of the Chef. The more shot glasses that you give him, the more drunk he gets. The screen literally wobbles as if you were drunk. Its friggin funny.

Airport Terminal (FREE VERSION)is a reaaally fun app that I discovered hooow many years ago. I had this app even before I got my iPhone and iPad (iPod 2nd gen pa lang meron nun) and I've loved this app ever since. Its gameplay is a lot like Sally's Salon. You have to try it!

Six-Guns' gameplay is pretty much like those GTA looking RPGs. It's basically a ripoff of Red Dead Redemption in the XBOX 360 and PS3. Nonetheless, it's still interesting.

Second Games folder. Most of these are Paid apps so be careful with your purchase, okay?

The two Grand Theft Auto Games are both Paid. (VICE CITY- III) I finished both already... thrice. Huhu. Sarap kasing maging serial killer... NAT. (Not really....)

Plants Vs. Zombies used to be my time killing machine. I finished this game numerous times already  but I still enjoy playing it.

The Where's My Perry? and Where's My Water? games were introduced to be by my boyfrend, Alaric. We used to play this on the iPhone until we found out that there were better levels on the iPad. The Perry app is so cute, I swear.

For iAssociate 2, I used to play this with my blockmates back when I was a freshman. Basically you're given a word and with that word, you guess the other words that are associated to it. For example, you're given coffee, so you associate it with Cream, Sugar, or Cappuccino.

The solitare app is for my grandfather. I don't think I need to link that for you anymore.

Final Fantasy Dimensions is a free game. But to continue, you need to purchase the other chapters. It's very pricey (One chapter is $6.99 I think) but worth it. I guess the only reason why I really appreciate this game is that I've been such a FInal Fantasy fan ever since I first started playing it on the PS one. I'm more of a Suikoden fan though.

I didn't bother to get the Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars in full yet. I'll buy the full one when I feel like it. This is my most hated GTA ever.

The Lego Harry Potter Games (Years 1-4 ----- Years 5-7) are one of my favorite apps. They're paid but SO WORTH IT. Its almost exactly like it's version in the PS3 and Xbox but is made into a way where only one player is needed (well duh).

I stopped playing Doomsday Preppers because it felt so lame after you get to 50 floors. Its the same thing over and over again. I might delete it.

I LOVE TRIPLE TOWN. I downloaded this game because Calel kept posting his scores online. It's actually quite addicting. Ohmygee.

The Batman app is veeery nice. The graphics are incredible and the gameplay is quite easy to use. It's similar to Infinity Blade.

Hair Salon and Toca Monsters are both developed by TOCA. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY THE CUTEST APPS EVER. My dad's sister, Isabel (were the same age kasi...) and I are absolutely addicted to this. It's crazy.

Thats Part one of my apps! Wait for the next one! :)

19 February 2013

February GAH

Late January and February so far. How how the days pass! It seems as only yesterday that I celebrated my 20th birthday (Okay medjo matagal na yun. November nga naman yun).

I don't know where to begin, honestly. I can start with my 2 gigs for Vatel (Calel asked me to perform so I asked my batchmate Jomar to play guitar for me) but then I don't have pictures for proof. (None that is of good quality anyway). Or my valentines date with Alaric! But it was such a fucked up Valentines that I'd rather not talk about it.

AH. How about that time when I visited my sorority sister, Gina '89! Gina owns a rest0-bar at Cubao expo called "Fred's Revolucion".Its beside that fancy shmancy italian restaurant.

You can like the fanpage HERE

Their White Russian is absolutely amazing. For something that costs liek P120-150 (usually white russians that cost THAT MUCH only has half a glass or less.), they give you A WHOLE GLASS. And Gina was kind enough to show me how they made it. (PS. I don't call her "tita" Gina because we're sorority sisters. First name basis kami. And she'd rather that it was that way because she doesn't want me, a 20 year old, calling her tita. HAHA. She said so herself.) For a big fan of White Russian, this was probably the best that I've ever tasted. NO JOKE. And surprisingly, they way that they made it was so simple! They jut added one special ingredient and voila! When you go to Cubao Expo, or you're in the vicinity, this drink is a must try!

This is the Italian restaurant that I was talking about. It's the oldest store that there is here in Cubao Expo. Its yeaaars old. Probably like a decade or so.

The onion rings that dad and I scarfed down. We were only supposed to drink a few beers (white russian for me). We saw the waiter come out of the kitchen and bring this to the table beside us. With
ABSOLUTELY NO HESITATION we decided to order one as well.

Yes, both cigarettes are mine. IN MY DEFENSE, THE MARLBORO HAD ONLY ONE STICK LEFT. But yes, I must stop smoking. Especially now that I'm training muay thai and boxing every day. (Surprisingly, my lungs don't give out so easily. I last quite a number of rounds before I completely pass out.)

And here I'm with my beautiful sorority sister, Gina '89. SHe's been my dad's best friend since their college days (My dad is USF batch '91)

Fred's Revolucion is DEFINITELY a place worth going to. My photos don't do the place any justice. You have to check it out for yourself.

Continuing to the next topic. This one is from a reaaaaally old date that we had back in January. Alaric and I absolutely love Greenhills Town Center (our nickname for it: Granada). We always always ALWAYS chill at either Seattle's Best, Soulstice Spa (yes he goes to the spa with me), and d'Amburgers.

There he is acting all single again not minding me. He's trying to beat my score in 2Fuse WHICH IS NOW

DON'T BELIEVE ME?? Check my instagram as proof : zoesandejas2012!!! (Okay so that doesn't really prove anything)

Alas my boyfriend the vicious photographer taking photos of everything in a matter of just 5 muntes. This is only A FOURTH of what he's taken. Oh btw, the camera that I used for this post was a Sony NEX 5 with the 50mm lens. He wanted to steal my camera, huhu.

A: Mine na lang!
Z: NO! WHAT WILL I USE OF YOU GET THAT?
A: What.. You have so many cameras...
Z: I DONT USE MY SLRS ON TRIPS LIKE THESE
A: ... photographers...

WHAT? SLRS ARE TOO BULKY!! And I don't want to be showy so I bring the mirrorless instead cuz its lighter, smaller, and pwede for concerts (hehehehe).

AAAND GUESS WHAT CAME TODAYYY. A delivery from the French Baker! A BOX OF HOKKAIDO CAKES. OMG. It's similar to the custard delicacies of Beard Papa's but the bread is so much softer. But the custard inside is just as perfect. PLUS THE TOPPING IS WHIPPED CREAM. WHIPPED CREAM!!!!! Beard Papa's doesn't put whipped cream on their custard cakes/bread/whatchamacallits.

If you open it it looks like a flower. I'm not sure if this is intentional or not but its pretty cute!

HEAVEN IN A PASTRY.

Anyway. Til next time!

Sundates with Boogie and Bubba

Warning: Extremely long post.

I used to do these kinds of posts back in my old blog (http://bazoeka.tumblr.com) but since I have a new blog, I want to show you our old Sundates plus our recent ones.

Okay so what exactly is a "Sundate". It started when Alaric and I first became together

(please note he's my boyfriend technically but we're not completely official. We're exclusively dating and we introduce each other as boyfriend and girlfriend BUT we haven't had a date that we could celebrate annually. Why? Cuz he hasn't asked me formally yet if I could be his girlfriend. I mean, it's a given that WE ARE TOGETHER, but being the traditional dorks that we are, we aren't official until we make it official. Oh and yes. We're legal to both of our parents, thank you.)

Since we had hectic schedules (in which we still do), the only time we could go out is on Sunday. Yes we both know that Sundays are Holy days and family days. I go to mass on Saturdays and my family prefers to stay at home on Sunday. Sunday is the Sandejas lazy day. I'm not particularly sure with how it works in the Topacio household but Alaric is always free on Sunday.

So Sundate it is.

Here are recaps of our old Sundates. (Basically this is a photo journal of the places we've been to and the restaurants that we've eaten in.)

1. Lifehouse Concert

Not many of you know this but I've been a consistent Lifehouse fan since the day that the pilot episode of Smallville aired. I have been SUCH A BIG FUCKING FAN. Alaric is a fan as well but he isn't as crazy as me. His birthday is on May 6 (day after my mom's birthday) so I decided to get him front row tickets as a gift. It was his first ever concert of a foreign artist and his second concert ever.

It actually pleases me when I'm with him during his firsts. It pleases me even more when I'm the reason why he has those firsts. Hihi.

First thing we did was eat at Taco Bell. HAHA. It's rare to find one anywhere near the UP Diliman-Katipunan area. I guess you can say that we're really "Ma-Taco"

pun is not punny

He was too busy reading the newspaper so I decided to use my iPad instead. (my old iPad, not the one I'm using now. RIP my old apps)

Btw. My apologies for the low quality photos. I used a fucked up first century looking lumix.

Anyway...

When he finished reading, he got so bored (note: I was still playing with my iPad) and got so pissed because I wasn't minding him. He decided to get my glasses and lie down on my lap.

Clingy...

Mandatory smoke of the day. And yes, that is a chai tea latte. Why? Because its the only thing I like in Coffee Bean. I'm more of a Starbucks person. Their coffee is better. :(

Ten tenenennn. Boogie and Bubba! He's Boogie (will not explain the history of that nickname) and I'm Bubba (because I'm matabu-bba... :| )

This photo hurts my pwet. The jacket that Alaric is wearing IS MINE. Huhuhu. I mean, I know that it's very loose on me and fit on him BUT STILL. ITS MY HOODIE. HUHU.

For those who watched Balanga U-Town, you'd recognize this hoodie. I wore it twice in the first episode. AHIHIHI.

OH. TRIVIA. TJ Topacio (Ma'am Stella Custodio's boyfriend in Balanga U-town): his name came from Alaric! Cuz he's Alaric Topacio. I have no idea where the TJ came from though...

SO YES. MY BOYFRIEND IS THE REAL TJ TOPACIO.

So that makes me the real Ma'am Stella Custodio.

What...

We both got so kilig when we saw this. NO SRSLY. LEGIT WE REALLY DID GET KILIG.
It was probably one of the best nights of our lives. Everything was so perfect.

Until I cried when Lifehouse played "You and Me". Alaric just laughed at me.

can't even.. ugh. :|

2. Hot Air Balloon Festival 2012

We went to the hot air balloon festival and saw... people. Not a single fucking glimpse of a hot air balloon. Why? Because we left late and all of the balloons left already... :|

I actually made a video about this trip. Alaric and I went with our friends, Cholo and Trisha.

Ugly ol' me with my light hair. I think I've gone past that phase of hair dyeing to abnormally orange colors. And ugly ass glasses.

My two bodyguards. Lol. Alaric and Cholo having a date. Didn't I tell you? I was the third wheel.

Lol just kidding. :)

Oh geez I was so fat back then. Everything in this photo is completely gone. From the hair, to the glasses, from the shirt to the shoes. GONE.

One of my favorite photos of Alaric. Only because his face isn't fully shown. I'M JUST KIDDING.

The cute girl beside Alaric is Trisha!

You can find the HD version HERE

I'll post the other Sundates soon!
