Eventscapade: UNLEASHED 5

The fifth instillment of the Unleashed Series was too much for anyone to handle. Even when everyone expected the rain, no one was prepared to get drenched by a storm. 

My cousin, Kurt, and I arrived at the venue at 12 noon. Why so early? Nauto kasi ako ni Mohit na 12 ng hapon call-time ko. Same shit happened in Unleashed 3 and 4 when Mohit asked me to arrive at 12 when I was actually needed at 2:30PM. HAW HAW VERY FUNNY, MO. NOT GONNA HAPPEN NEXT TIME.

Proud little munchkin of a cousin. It was his first major event so he was so excited to shoot. I'll post some of the photos that he took by the end of this entry.

Look at Mohit's face. You can clearly hear him think "Haw haw Zoe came early again".

Kuya in green, I clearly asked you to move a way for a second. All you did was ignore me. *sigh*

We've done 2 events here at the Megatent (first one being Unleashed 2). There's a factory behind it which has always been my landmark going to the venue. Pretty cool background, if I may say. Nagmukhang underground party tuloy yung U5

The bosses were prancing around making sure everything was ready. It's funny how they've somewhat downgraded their shoes this time around. I remember them complaining during Unleashed 4 that they got either mud, alcohol, or some other stain on their sneakers. They wore Adidas Tricots and Nike Roshe runs instead. According to them:

"Do you know how insanely easy it is to clean these shoes?". 

"Yes boss. I'm wearing the exact same pair. I know"

FINALLY A PHOTO OF ME DURING AN EVENT. All events photographers will agree that it would be such a magical moment when another photographer sends you a photo of yourself during the event. WE ACTUALLY HAVE PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE THAT WE WERE IN THAT EVENT.

Oh I bet you're all thinking "Uh. But you're the photographer. Of course you were there!". Yes and No. It's the same logic has taking a selfie or getting a picture beside a monument, a beach, etc. We want to be seen in the photograph as well. We capture your milestones and we should have photos of our moments as well.

HAHA. Okay. I'm just kidding. Rico did the first soundcheck of the day. Aaron was just helping him out with some technical dj stuff. 

PERSONALLY, THE WINNER OF THE WHOLE EVENT. I MEAN, THANK YOU RED BULL. I WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD AT 9:30PM IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU. HERE YOU GO. YOU DESERVE A GOOD PHOTO.

My Brod Tadi and his girlfriend Zie dropped by the party. 

I'm gonna be honest, I had problems with the foam machine. The wind kept blowing the foam to my lens and I had a hard time cleaning it. But I had good shots! And everyone was just so giddy to get their photographs taken.

Fireworks that night. I couldn't get a clear shot from the back of the crowd because:

 1. It was raining.

2. You have noidea how masikip it was.

I REALLY WISH I HAD BROUGHT ONE HOME. We filled these suckers up with iced water from the gatorade cooler and sprayed the crowd. 

THE STORM WAS CRAZY. You'd think that we'll be safe on the stage, right? NO. NO ONE WAS SAFE FROM THE STORM. The wind blew the rain to the direction of the stage. Everyone was wet. The only thing dry that whole night were the Pioneer controllers. All of the cameras of the photographers were drenched. My camera broke. My flash stopped working. Basically I couldn't work anymore. Hayyy.

But hey. That was the peak of the event. So I can't complain. I had so much fun.

SM Youth Models were going crazy on stage. I asked Lance "Are you okay?". He replied "ARE YOU KIDDING? YEAH".

The people who went, I would like to say thank you. 5 Unleashed parties, and you still partied hard with us. To 15 strong, Thank you again for giving Kurt and I the opportunity to be your official photographers. To the photographers that night, a great great job to us for dealing with everything.
