This is a poem that I wrote for myself, my sisters in the UP Sigma Delta Phi Sorority, and the future sisters to come.
Young rose, bright rose
Glimmering in the night
Glow like the phoenix
To places out of sight
A sister, a mother,
Queen Phoenix does all
Your life as a young rose
Was thine phoenix' call
That moment of weakness
Regret and of shame
Is when a young rose
Makes worth of her name
Cry not my young rose
You are never just one
When thrown in the fire,
You are thrown to the sun
And when morning
Calls to take
You, young rose
As a phoenix will wake
Reborn as the greatest
No one can achieve
Reborn as a phoenix
No one can believe
Remember young rose
That we phoenix fly north
We gather to follow
Queen's call to go forth
We conquer we soar
You have nothing to fear
Through time and space
We phoenix are here
Fly higher than a dragon
Be louder than a roar
We phoenix know not
Of what fear is for
The greatness there is
Of rebirth that is true
Is treasured by the phoenix
Who gave birth to you
In all your days
Time and time again
We phoenix will fly for you
Til destiny's end.
