So my sister celebrated her bday last March 1st. She told me that she's always wanted to dye her hair blue so I decided to send her to the salon as my bday gift for her.
Normally, we go to Peps of Famous Salon (he's been our stylist since we were kids) but he was out of town that day. I've been hearing a lot of good reviews from a certain Salon (I'm not going to say WHAT salon, though. I'll let you figure that one out) so I decided to book her there.
Before photo. My sister has beautiful, thin stranded, voluminous hair. It's been untouched by color for 20 years. This was the first time it was going to take a lot of damage.
I had to leave her because I did errands but she told me that they gave her a hair treatment before the actual bleaching
I came back with half of my sister's hair orange. She was complaining that it stung.
Okay so this pissed me off. This salon did not even have the common sense to do any allergy test on her skin before applying the damned bleach on her hair. Okay, fine, she wasn't allergic, but what if she were? This salon is the only salon that I know that does not have allergy tests before the actual dyeing process.
This is after the second bleaching process. She was on the verge of crying because the bleach stung so much.
Toner # 1 on the tips
Toner # 2 on the roots
Doesn't look like it but I was already pissed here.
First blue dye ombre
Followed by the second dye of blue. This lady pissed me off as well. Kyra kept telling her to lower the heat of the hair curler because it was burning her. Ate blondie over here just ignored her. Being the loud achi that I am, I raised my voice and said "Excuse me ate but my sister has been telling you to lower the heat. Are you deaf or nananadya ka ba talaga?".Normally if you did that to a random stranger, they would glare at you. Kyra told me that I have this maniacal stare that freaks the shit out of people. Ate blondie did look a bit freaked out when I spoke to her.
Actually, I don't understand why she was curling my sister's hair anyway. Kyra and I told them explicitly "blow dry only on low heat". Then ate blondie said "de maam masmaganda ho pag naka curl". Oh, I'm sorry? I didn't know that the customer cannot dictate what she wants for her hair? How very dictatorial naman of this salon.
My sister's after photo. Okay it looks nice, BUT WAIT. GUESS HOW MUCH THEY CHARGED US FOR IT:
Php14,700
I am not kidding you guys, they charged us fourteen thousand seven hundred pesos for her hair. If you think that's crazy, wait until you read THIS. Yeap. The lady paid Php 24,370 for her hair.
WHO CHARGES THAT MUCH MONEY FOR HAIR?
Oh and another thing, their credit card machine magically declined my credit card so I had to withdraw cash from the BDO one floor down. I bought some makeup from Beauty bar and to my surprise, my card was perfectly fine. I heard from a friend that she had her hair dyed in the salon, was charged a fortune, and her card was mysteriously declined.
TANTANTAN. THE BIGGEST CLUE OF THE DAY. WHAT SALON COULD THIS BE????
Everyone was pissed that day so we decided to let out some steam by eating Ramen.
See? Everyone's sullen.
But I have to say, the Ramen was pretty good.
Happy Birthday, sister. I'm so sorry for choosing H*******t Salon. We should've went to Piandre or Famous instead.
